Pair Ups

'Extending Trainer Life for a Million more miles'

Pair Ups is a tried and tested process which has been developed and created for runners like you to extend the life of your favourite trainers. Check out our Online Shop for kit options.

Our Story

I had a great opportunity to connect with Dan Lawson through his Lejog record attempt in August 2020. We met up a couple of times and I loved what he and Charlotte were doing at Rerun. My Inov8’s were starting to tear so Dan showed me how to repair them with KT tape and FE glue.

Since that moment I have repaired all my trainers that represent a hole, a rip or a tear in them. My original Inov8 G270’s lasted another 300 miles and I still wear them (for walking) even now.

In the last 12 months I have been perfecting the process and I really want to share it with as many runners as possible. Don’t wait for the hole/tear to get too big. Catching it early will help make your trainers last longer.

We launched on 1st Jan 2023 and recently attended The National Running Show as part of The Green Runners. We have attended Running Events such as Centurion Wendover Woods Weekender and South Downs Way 50 where we held trainer repair workshops and gave away repaired trainers that were donated by *Jogon Recycle.

*Jogon Recycle aim to remove 1 million pairs of trainer out of landfill.

We are also gathering information on the durability of trainers through our Trainer Survey on The Green Runners website. Please visit and let them know how your trainers have performed.

We are looking forward to providing all runners with repair kits to help extend the life of their favourite trainers and to go ‘Running without the footprint’.

The repair process was created by my friend and mentor Dan Lawson. Pair Ups Repair Kits was created with Dan’s blessing and support.
